Most people like to party every once in a while – either at home or out and about.
How to go about organising a party
There are plenty of good excuses for throwing a party, from the more traditional celebrations such as 18th or 21st birthdays, weddings, Christmas, Barmitzvahs to new ideas such as baby showers or even football parties.
You might want to choose a theme, for a wedding you might like an antique or shabby chic theme.
For a birthday or general party you might want a theme that includes an aspect of fancy dress. Here’s a fe popular choices:
- James Bond Theme
- Black and White
- Rock and Pop Icons
- Movie Stars
- Masquerade Ball
How you choose to cater for your guests will depend on how many there will be and where your holding your function. If its a wedding in a hotel, the catering will be taken care of, there’s just the menu to choose.
If you want to have the party in a marquee, you’ll probably need a reputable outside caterer – someone who can handle the number of covers without too much stress.
Smaller house parties and garden parties can be catered for yourself – maybe get friends to bring a particular dish or course.
For larger functions in marquees or venues, you may need to look at hiring in some padded banquet chairs.
